TRANSFORMED TO SERVE

Hello, my name is Kanit Phookingna. My nickname is Mark, and I am 19 years old. I am currently a first-year student at Khon Kaen University, studying in the College of Local Administration. I first heard about God when I was in Grade 4. As time passed, I came to understand that God is good to me and to everyone. He can help us with everything, and He can give me a new life, leading me to heaven when I believe in Jesus.

Pastor Roong, Pastor Boy, and many others invited me to believe in God, so I decided to put my faith in Jesus and let Him be my Lord for the rest of my life. Since I accepted Jesus into my life, I have felt a peace that I had never experienced before. I feel warmth in my heart. I used to be a hot-tempered person, easily irritated, and quick to anger. But since meeting Jesus Christ, He has transformed my life, making me a calmer person. He has taken away my short-tempered nature. I thank God for bringing me to this point in my life. He has helped me excel in my studies and has given me the confidence to express myself more openly.

If I had not come to know God and had not gone to church, I would probably have become a troublemaker with bad habits. I would likely have fallen in with the wrong crowd, causing my parents grief. Today, I feel that I have grown in the Lord through personal devotions and Bible reading. I have been serving God at Nong Bua Lamphu Methodist Church since I first believed, and I continue to do so. I serve through playing music instruments in the worship team, leading worship, leading groups as a youth leader, and ensuring cleanliness in the church. I have also gained the courage to share the Gospel. I am happy to serve God, and I thank Him for guiding me in my studies, which led me to be accepted into Khon Kaen University, as I had hoped.

Even though I am no longer in Nong Bua Lamphu because I am studying at Khon Kaen University, I still regularly participate in worship and serve God at a Methodist church in Khon Kaen. I want to invite everyone to believe in Jesus together, see how good God is, and find true happiness in life.
