HEALED AND FULL OF FAITH

My name is Mrs Pensri Ja-Dee, but everyone calls me “Mae Peng.” I serve on the committee of Mae Pa Phai Methodist Church.
I did not grow up in a Christian home. In 1998, my family and I were working at a pig farm in Sanphranet, in the San Sai District of Chiang Mai. My daughter was the first in our family to believe in Christ—she came to faith through Sanphranet Methodist Church.
At that time, I was overwhelmed with stress and struggling with several health issues. I was constantly in and out of hospital due to chronic gastritis, thyroid problems, and a rare illness that even the doctors could not diagnose. During that season, leaders and members from the church regularly visited and prayed for me.

When my husband decided to follow Christ, I too opened my heart to God. In 2005, I accepted the Lord and was baptised. As I began to attend church faithfully and study His Word, God performed a miracle—every single one of my illnesses disappeared.
Later, when the pig farm closed, my husband and I returned to Hot District in 2014. Long before this, my husband—after becoming a believer—had already dedicated a piece of land for a future church. He had once feared spirits, but he now knew that Jesus had power over all things, even the unseen. Praise God that in His perfect timing, Mae Pa Phai Methodist Church was eventually established. Before this, there were no churches across the 11 villages in our subdistrict.
I thank God for His many blessings. Though I sometimes feel physically weak and worry about my health, He has faithfully sustained me all these years. Since returning to Hot, I also worried about income. But the Lord has provided—through small jobs, animal-raising, and various means. He has given me the strength to work and to continue serving Him. Truly, it is grace upon grace.
If I had known what life with Jesus would be like, I would have come to know Him much earlier. I have never once regretted placing my faith in Christ.
Now, at age 63, I still have strength. I thank God that in the 20 years since I came to faith, I have not once needed to be hospitalised. God truly watches over me.
My prayer today is that God will grant me more time—not just to serve in church, but to be more actively involved in sharing the gospel with others. I want to devote my life more fully to Him, to reach out to others, to set an example, and to place God first in all that I do. I also pray that He will continue to guide and prepare my family and me for the future.
Thank you for reading my story. I hope it encourages you. May God bless you richly!
