GOD IS A WONDERFUL FATHER

by Yarmika Limbu, Sophia’s Home, Nepal.

My name is Yarmika Limbu, and I am 16 years old, currently studying in Grade 11. When I first came to Sophia’s Home, I was only eight years old. Stepping into Sophia’s Home meant entering a very different environment from the one I had known with my family.

At first, everything felt unfamiliar. Yet slowly, Sophia’s Home became more than just a safe place. Here, I found friends to talk to and sisters who supported and encouraged me. Most importantly, it was here that I was introduced to Jesus through Bible stories, gospel songs, and daily life together.

Losing my mother at such a young age was deeply painful. As the youngest child, I knew it was especially difficult for my father, who was already advanced in age, to raise me alone alongside my four older siblings. Life felt uncertain, and my heart carried quiet sadness.

Growing up in Sophia’s Home, I experienced healing and growth. I learned how to love and care for one another, how to work together as a team, and how to support each other during difficult times. Through these shared experiences, I began to see God’s mighty hand at work. Witnessing His faithfulness strengthened my trust in Him and helped my faith grow deeper day by day.

Looking back now, I am filled with gratitude. Even before I accepted Jesus as my personal Saviour, God already had greater plans for my life. He has been a wonderful Father to me, guiding, protecting, and loving me through every season.
