FINDING COURAGE THROUGH FAITH

After one year of living in Mettakij Hostel, I feel that I have learnt many things that have changed me for the better. At first, I was someone who did not dare to speak up. However, since coming to the Mettakij Hostel, I have been encouraged to be more courageous. I am now more willing to try new things, speak up, express my opinions, and grow into a better person.

 

I have also learnt what it means to be a leader. Being a leader is not about being the best at everything. It is about having the courage to take responsibility and being a good example to my friends and the younger siblings in the dormitory.

 

In addition, I have had the opportunity to take part in activities with mission teams from overseas who visit us regularly. I have also worked alongside many friends. Through these experiences, I have learned the importance of teamwork, helping one another, and adapting to different people. The activities we do together are not only enjoyable but also help us build strong friendships and create many precious memories.

 


Another blessing has been learning English and practising my speaking and listening skills. Although I still have much to learn, I now feel more confident and am no longer afraid to try speaking English.

 

Most importantly, I have learnt God's Word and how to live according to His ways. Many times, God's Word has encouraged me, answered my questions, and reminded me to keep going whenever I feel discouraged, tired, or like giving up. Through this, I have grown in my faith.

 

I am filled with joy and gratitude for all that God has provided in my life. Thank you to all the supporters. I believe that what I have received today will not only benefit me now but will also stay with me and continue to bless my future.
