PLEASE HEAL ME

by Pom, Member of Nong Bua Lamphu Methodist Church, Thailand.

Hello, my name is Pom. I’m 38 years old. I welcomed Jesus into my life on 1 April 2012.

Before I came to know Jesus, my life was a failure. What I yearned for the most was love. My family was broken; my parents separated when I was young. And growing up, I suffered from diabetes at the age of 10. Later, my father came back to stay with us.

Not long after I got married, I had many problems with my husband. I eventually decided to break up with my husband. I started drinking and going to pubs. One day, I had an accident and broke my ankle. However, I was still drinking until my ankle became severely infected. It was so bad that I had to be hospitalised. I could not work and did not have any money. And no one came to help me. At that time, I thought of killing myself because I felt lonely.

However, my mother called to tell me to pray for God's help. I replied, “Where is God? He is not helping me and He is unable to heal me.” Later, my condition got worse. The doctor said that he would terminate the treatment and take me to the ICU because the blood in my body is only 18%. The doctor also told me that they would have to amputate my leg. So, I called out to God in a weak voice. I said, “God, if You are real and if You can heal me, please heal me. If You heal me, I promise I will go back to You and go to church.”

The next morning, the doctor came to check and brought me more blood. Two days later, my condition improved and there was no need to amputate my leg. I was subsequently discharged from the hospital. When I returned to Nong Bua Lamphu, I went to church and welcomed Jesus into my heart.

I received hugs from others – something that I had never received in my whole life. There were also words of encouragement reminding me that God loves me. I was filled with joy. I believe in God and I have full confident in Him because He healed me. Thank you, God!
